Frequently Asked Questions
We know you may have questions about our company, our services, and tree care in general. Below are answers to some of the questions we're frequently asked. If you can't find the answer you're looking for, please give us a call at 513-325-1783 and we'll be happy to help you.
Do you charge to provide a tree service estimate?
We do not charge for an estimate within our service area.
If you live outside our normal service area, we may still be able to provide an estimate but there will be an additional cost. Please contact the office at 513-325-1783 for details.
Can you give me a price estimate right now over the phone?
While we do wish it was that easy, we need to see each situation in person due to a lot of variables that may or may not affect the safe removal or pruning of the tree(s). After we look at your tree(s) the quote will promptly be sent over to your email address.
Do I have to be home for the estimate?
If you cannot or do not want to be home for the estimate, we will be sure to gather accurate information before sending over the estimate.
What kind of insurance do you have?
We are fully insured specifically for tree care work (unlike some companies who only carry "landscaper" coverage). This means that any work we do on your trees is covered by our insurance policy, including in the unlikely event of damage or injury.
We also carry full workers compensation insurance for all of our employees.
We encourage you to ask any tree service company you're considering working with for a copy of their certificates of insurance.
Do you have Certified Arborists on staff?
Yes, we do!
Do you do tree work in my neighborhood?
We cover the greater Cincinnati metro area. That includes most of southwestern Ohio, parts of southeast Indiana, and northern Kentucky.
Please see our Service Area page for more details.
Will there be any damage to my property from tree removal or pruning?
We make every effort to protect surrounding turf and plantings when doing tree work, such as by using special mats to protect your turf from damage when we need to use heavy equipment on your property. And of course, we're always careful to avoid damage to structures, such as your house!
However, the risk of damage is inherent in tree work. For example, tree removal and pruning usually means that large pieces of heavy wood are being lowered or dropped onto your lawn so minor lawn damage is inevitable. Lawn repairs are not included in the contract price unless otherwise noted.
When you remove a tree, do you also remove the stump?
Stump grinding is an extra service that's not typically included in the cost of tree removal.
When removing a tree, we cut the stump as close to ground level as possible without causing damage to our equipment or your property.
If you'd like to have the tree stumps removed after the tree has been cut down, we can provide a separate estimate for that.
Do you grind my stumps on the same day?
We currently have a subcontractor that does the stumps and the arrival time will vary.
Your office hours are Monday through Friday. Do you work on Saturday?
While the office is closed on Saturdays, our crew can often be found in the field. If you have a specific need to have work done on Saturday, please let us know.
How and when do I pay?
After all of the work has been completed, we will send you the invoice via email.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal or business checks, and credit card payments.
Will you call to give me a date for my job?
Our office will reach out when your work has been scheduled. Talk with your salesperson if you have specific scheduling needs.
Will you call on the way to my job?
Our office will call ahead to let you know that your work has been scheduled and the crew will call on the way to your job.
How far out are you scheduling work?
Our schedule fluctuates throughout the year and can be dependant on changing weather in our area. Your salesperson will be able to give you a rough idea during the initial assessment.
How quickly can you get the work done?
After you've provided written or online acceptance of our proposal, we can schedule your tree service.
We're sure you understand that scheduling is always dependent on the weather (we can't safely do some types of tree work in poor weather). We also take into consideration the availability of equipment, scheduling for our workers, the best timing to deal with specific pests and diseases, and more. In other words, it depends...
We do recognize that you may be anxious to get the work done as quickly as possible and we will work with you to find a time that's mutually acceptable.
Please contact our office at 513-325-1783 if you have any specific scheduling requests.
How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since early 2015.
Do you always arrive first thing in the morning?
Our crews do multiple jobs per day, so you may be in the morning, middle of the day, or the afternoon. Talk with your salesperson if you have specific scheduling needs.
Do you remove bushes or landscaping?
We are not a landscaping company, but if you want to add on the removal of some bushes with your other tree work, we can give you an estimate for that.
What if I have underground wires or pipes in my yard?
If your yard has wires or pipes, please make that known to your salesman so the crew will be made aware and take appropriate steps to protect them.
